Women are Merid’s inspiration, allowing him to express his passion in life and art. He sees women as metaphors for the motherland and all things beautiful and powerful. Merid is currently painting murals for Bole Medhanialem, the newest and largest Ethiopian Orthodox church in Addis Abeba.
